This delicious format of typical Neapolitan origin owes its name to the ancient production technique, which consisted of rolling spaghetti around a kind of knitting needle, known as fuso. Fusilloni are delicious with tomatoes or vegetables and combined with Parmigiano Reggiano or Pecorino. A wonderful recipe for long fusilli is “Scarpariello”.
